EXCELLENT QUALITY OF OIL MONTSAGRE HARVEST 2015

Montsagre receive from the “INSTITUT DE RECERCA I TECNOLOGÍA AGROALIMENTARIA” (IRTA) attached to the Generalitat de Catalunya and “PANELL DE TAST OFICIAL D’OLIS VERGES D’OLIVA DE CATALUNYA” reports of chemical and sensoriall analysis from their oils Picual and Empeltre 2015 harvest, which certifies their qualification "Extra Virgin" outstanding quality and flawless.

2015 HARVEST HOME

Montsagre begins harvest under the criteria of early harvesting , after performing the corresponding tests at the "INSTITUT DE RECERCA I TECNOLOGÍA AGROALIMENTARIA" (IRTA) attached to the Generalitat de Catalunya in order to ensure quality parameters and fruity that require our oils.

AGREEMENT SIGNED WITH IRTA

Montsagre signs contract with the “INSTITUT DE RECERCA I TECNOLOGÍA AGROALIMENTARIA” (IRTA) attached to the “Generalitat de Catalunya”, to have high-level technical assistance in order to controll the quality of our oils.

This institute has services from “PANELL DE TAST OFICIAL D’OLIS VERGES D’OLIVA DE CATALUNYA” , distinguished by its rigour and high qualification. MONTSAGRE has regularly sent its oils to this prestigious panel of tasting from the beginning of its production.

MONSAGRE OBTAINS THE CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY OF ORGANIC PRODUCTION

MONTSAGRE obtained at the “CONSELL CATALÀ DE LA PRODUCCIÓ AGRÍCOLA ECOLÓGICA” (CCPAE) conformity certificate of ecological production in conversion period conversion for its olives and oils. It is to say that MONTSAGRE has been pursuing all the techniques and treatments required for organic certification for more than 5 years.

TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT AND FOREST IMPROVEMENT PLAN APPROVED

The "CENTRE DE LA PROPIETAT FORESTAL", agency attached to the Government of Catalonia approves the technical management and forest improvement Plan presented by MONTSAGRE, for the management and protection of approximately 120 hectares of forests surrounding their farms.

Works will begin in 2016, in order to minimize the risk of fire and to carry out a sustainable management of these forests.

We are also applying for the certification of the program of recognition of systems of forest certification (PEFC) for our purpose to contribute to the conservation of our forest.

MONTSAGRE EMPELTRE AWARDED SILVER MEDAL IN NEW YORK

The Extra Virgin Olive Oil Montsagre Empeltre has been awarded a Silver Medal at the New York International OLIVE OIL COMPETITION (NYIOOC).
The judges comment was:

Aromas of fruit, leaves and green almonds with notes of vanilla. The fruity flavor offers notes of green leaves, some sweetness, bitter and spicy nuances of vanilla and vigorous, with exceptional harmony, high complexity and persistence.

MONTSAGRE PICUAL AWARDED WITH GOLD MEDAL IN NEW YORK

The Extra Virgin Olive Oil Picual Montsagre has been awarded with a Gold Medal at the New York International OLIVE OIL COMPETITION (NYIOOC).
The judges comment was:

Aromas of green fruit, green grass and artichoke notes. The taste offers abundant fruity, green grass, some sweetness, bitter, medium spicy and nuances of artichoke, with exceptional harmony, high complexity and persistence.

MONTSAGRE EXPANDS PLANTING OF OLIVE TREES OF THE VARIETY EMPELTRE.

Begins the first stage of the extension provided for in 2100 trees until 2017, for which were prepared for the land through planting of cereals which facilitate the preparation for the new planting from 2012.
